During my years in college, I worked at a Child Development Center for 2 years, as well as at a Child Study Center. I worked with ages 6 weeks up to 6 years. I truly enjoyed this time with the children and only stopped working there because I took an internship as a Child Life Specialist at a children's hospital. After completing my internship, I worked for a program where I worked with parents and children from birth to 5 years old. I went to family's homes and educated parents on child development. In addition, I played with the children through age appropriate activities to work on hitting milestones and keeping the children on track developmentally. I now am a stay-at-home mother to a 14-month-old little girl, the best job in the world! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Family Consumer Sciences, emphasis in Family and Child (which is a lot of child development and family dynamics courses). I also am a Certified Child Life Specialist and Certified Family Life Educator. I will provide care Monday-Friday, in my home. I love to teach children through age appropriate activities and enjoy doing craft activities as well. I have a safe, clean, loving and smoke-free home.
