Hello! My name is Monique. I am a 34 year-old female. I am a veteran of the US Navy. In my pre-Navy life, I put in about 5 years in the public school systems of NC and NY. During that time, I also worked at Riverwood Child Development Center in Clayton, NC. Most of my time was split between the infant and one year-old rooms. I recently relocated from southern VA. At my church there, The Bridge Christian Fellowship in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake, I was on rotation as the nursery caregiver and often assisted with the toddlers in the Children's ministry. Also, I have provided regular care for another care..... family with 3 children, who are now ages 1 year to 9 years. I went on vacation with the family and remained with them until relocating here. I have also handled several date night jobs via care..... for children of varying ages and was a regular for 2 care..... families this year. While I have not birthed any children (some physical complications there), I have raised several ranging from ages birth through six years. All that said, I would love to help you in the care of your children and hope that you consider me. I have been blessed with a compassionate heart and innate nurturing abilities that draw children to me wherever I go. I love being able to partake in their care. If you decide to hire me, I will be available to care for your child(ren) during the desired times. I am quite able to perform routines without problems. I am a pet parent to an adorable 8 year-old Yorkie, named Old Man. I am also able to cook and clean. I love reading and I do what I can to pass that love along to ANY child. I am a singer (jazz, classical, R&B, Christian/Gospel) and I have been singing since before I could talk. I love singing to and with children. I am also active in community theater. I absolutely adore children and have learned that they are usually quite fond of me as well.
