My name is Dorothy Halverson, and I have about 20 years experience working in the childcare field. I obtained my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education because I wanted to know more about working with and guiding young children. I find it fulfilling to be involved and create relationships in this area. This involves many different areas, such as art projects, where great conversations take place and learning is involved. I have a sense of fulfillment when I see the areas I've taught young children bring a new level of understanding to children and they take what they've learned and start exploring and learning on their own by exploring this area on their own. Even when I have a job where I'm not currently working with children, I am drawn to working with them outside my work, such as in my church.
