Hello, my name is Annett, I am a 30 years old mother a wonderful 6 year old, with over 15 years of experience working with children. My experience ranges from running my own home daycare for 5 years to 10 years of babysitting experiences. We just arrived in Edmonton mid-August (my husbands with the military and was posted to CFB Edmonton), I spent the first couple of months getting my family settled, but am now looking to return to childcare (I was running a daycare in Ottawa). We will be in Edmonton for a minimum of 3 years. I am looking to work full time as a nanny (between 35-45 hours of work a week) Mon-Friday. I am open to occasional late night or weekend hours. I have vast experience caring for children from newborn-12 years of age, and between one to six children at a time. I have experience working with blended families, military families, children with special diets and food allergies. A great deal of experience with children and families dealing with short or longer term separation of one or both parents due to work requirements. I absolutely adore children and I consider it nothing but a privilege to be able to take part in their lives and care for them. I am a great believer in education for children at all ages, plenty of outside play and learning, healthy meals and snacks, day trips, and lots of fun. Childhood only comes once so I have always been one to jump right into the sandbox and help the children make sand castles, or lay out in the snow and help them make snow angels and snow forts. I speak English and German, with some French (I can teach children the basics). I have a B.A. Arts General with three Minors in History, Women Studies and Business Administration. In addition to my childcare work I have worked as a retail store assistant manager, retail sales and office administration, thus being organized and multi-tasking come quite naturally to me. My most fulfilling and joyful work has always been with children and I have decided to invest my working years in this beautiful occupation. I have my own vehicle, a valid drivers license (clean driving history), and can provide an up to date working with minors check, in addition to a criminal backround check.
