Hi! My name is Theresa. I am a grandmother of 6 and a mother of 5. Throughout my life I've had many jobs to support my family, but I always get pulled back into working with children. I am currently on Workerman's comp from my job and thus need to make extra income. My family and I are moving from Mesa, AZ to Santee, CA because my wife was accepted into a PhD program at San Diego State University. Currently, I am sitting for a super smart little 6 month old - we are currently working on crawling and standing up when we aren't teething! Just before her, I worked with two young gentleman - one who had severe developmental issues and needed constant attention. A few years back, I was a live-in nanny for three (then four!) of my grandchildren. I was the primary caregiver. One of my grandsons has a form of aspergers and the other has some behavioral disorders as a result of childhood trauma (he is adopted). Throughout my 50 years I have worked with so many different kinds of children, my own and paid that my skills run the gamut. The mom I currently am working for calls me the "baby whisperer" because the little girl was colic-y and from the moment we started working together I was able to get her to burp fully and sleep for longer naps. Additionally, I am First Aid/CPR certified, have a clean driving record as I am a professional driver (I have a CDL Class A). I am comfortable with pets of all kinds and have even taken care of several pets (including chickens, pigs, a bunny, and turtles) when working with my kids.
