Looking for wonderful care for your little one(s)? You’ve found the right profile! I'm the type of babysitter who actually plays and interacts with kids- not just supervises them. I have experience with children 5 and up, and I love what I do! Throughout studying child development and elementary education in college, I became very prepared with a great deal of knowledge useful in my field as a child care provider. I value ethics, safety priorities, interaction, and of course fun! I chose to major in education because there is nothing more meaningful than providing and guiding children in the pathways of life. I use certain discipline techniques, (I would actually consider it positive redirection), that I often use in the classroom with children. These techniques are commonly involving positive reinforcements, and have proven to be successful! I want what’s best for my students and those that I babysit for, and am very nurturing towards them. I tend to use creative activities that incorporate learning, and other hands on materials with kids (paintsupplies / books / puzzles / drawing utensils/toys/play dress up/ theatre activities, etc.). I also love playing sports and outside games with kids. It’s important to me that children enjoy their time with others, so I make sure that I can relate to any group of kids I am with, which helps your children to feel comfortable with me as well! I'm punctual, communication oriented, adventurous, very caring, emotionally available, mentally stable and trustworthy. I am currently babysitting for a family and their two children (10-year-old and 8-year-old). I taught 2nd grade last year, and am now teaching 4th grade! There is a current background check on file through my teaching career. I am available to babysit on the weekends and weekday evenings.
