Sitter in San Francisco, California

I'm 28 years old with over 10 years of childcare experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. I've worked long term with two families (both with multiple children) as well as the lead teacher in a daycare. I currently reside outside of Ann Arbor, MI, however am looking to relocate. My philosophy, while watching children, is that they need to learn in a plethora of ways. Whether that be go to a park and pick out plants/bugs we just read about, or being active in the pool/playground, to making food from scratch (a guaranteed learning engagement for both of us!), to learning to enjoy the quiet moments. I enjoy watching kids learn outdoors and helping them learn how to maintain a clean/organized living environment with good manners. I understand with children you need flexibility but structure, patience with discipline, and last but not least a huge heart and know they are growing and learning who they are and where they fit in in life. I do not mind some light housework or cooking for the family as part of the job description. Also, I do not mind running errands either. I do have a passport and am willing to travel! My hobbies include reading (primarily fiction, but some nonfiction) and salsa/latin dancing. I do have some college education. I have an A.A. Liberal Arts and am currently in school online for Cancer Information Management (like medical records but in the oncology side) Please contact me if you have any questions or are interested! Thanks!
