My name is Erica Smith and I provide School Age Summer Care! The facility "Legends in the Making" is a summer Enrichment Program for rising 1st through 5th graders. I have been working with children since 2002 as a camp counselor for both Durham Public Schools and Durham Parks and Recreation. I began working as a group with before and after school care children and was soon promoted to Site Director. After holding this position for 3 years I decided to finish my undergraduate degree in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Child Development from North Carolina Central University. Finishing my studies and obtaining a B.S. in 2011. Most recently, I am working as an Instructional Assistant with Durham Public Schools. In addition, I am CPR and First Aid certified, I have my Child Development I and II certification, Early Education Certification, and have obtained BSAC certification specifically designed for School Age Child Care. This location will be a 9 week (June 13th - August 12th) summer camp program formed to keep children's minds fresh with a continuation of old information from their former school year and enriched from developing new information for the up and coming school year. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7a.m. to 6p.m. Weekly themes, field trips, projects, morning snack and lunch provided at no additional cost! Rates are $125 per week.
