I began babysitting at age 12 and have always enjoyed children. I have two boys 16 and 9, I routinely babysit an adorable 3 year old girl who melts my heart. I love being a caregiver because it's so wonderful to be around children , they bring joy into the world. My preference is to watch children in my home ( I have lots of toys, books, and fun things for little ones to do. I do have a dog Jack Russell terrier we've had him 13 years so he's eager to greet guest then go lie down. I'm most comfortable babysitting children that range in age from infant to toddler. I taught mine to read by age 3 and yes he was writing then too. He started pre k with ability to read, add, subtract & multiply. I think it is critical that children are exposed to books and educational toys during their first 4 years because their capacity to learn and absorb things is much greater than they'll have once starting school. My philosophy with caring for someone else's child is to treat kids like you want yours treated . I also believe that if I'm your child's caregiver that I want to foster a healthy environment so that when your child gets older they have learned positively and developed good habits and behavior so that with mine and the parents cooperative effort we can make your child happy and feel loved and special whether their with you or I .
