Thank you for taking time to read my profile :) The basics- My name is Crystal Abete. I live in 29 Palms, CA. I am a 27 year-old female with an abundant amount of experience babysitting and working with children. I am currently sitting on 5 years of teaching experience. I taught third grade for three years and second grade for two years in Texas. My student teaching block had me working in first grade and my field base block in college was kinder. Throughout my time in the teaching community I’ve participated in many activities across the grade levels. I was a fourth grade UIL coach, first grade summer school teacher, a summer kinder dance/math teacher, a high school wetlands instructor, etc. After school I would participate in tutoring and even created my own after hours academy for my kiddos. We would work on curriculum, arts & crafts, field trips, cooking, and physically activity. My goal was to promote a happy and healthy life-style in a family themed environment for them. With my job alone, I have a great deal of knowledge and experience with children of various ages. A proud niece, I also assist my aunt with my eleven year-old cousin and nine-year old cousin since they were in dampers. I felt lucky to be the younger family member in town so that I could learn a great deal before I become a parent myself one dreamy day. In addition, I have been a babysitter to many families. As a teacher with some free time on my hands during the summer and after school, I am available to help you and your family. Whether I am someone steady Monday through Friday or someone you can call if you need a few hours for errands/pampering, I am a very responsible person to trust your child with. Safety is ALWAYS in mind, and I have a very upbeat, patient, and warm personality that children genuinely take to. This is definitely because I am a child at heart just with all of the sense and caution it requires to care for children. I hope to hear from you to see if I am the right person for your family. In the past I’ve been the proud mommy of scorpions, tarantulas, hermit crabs, fire belly toads, fish, turtles, mice, birds, centipedes and other creepy crawlers. My passion for animal has made me an excellent pet sitter for friends and co-workers. I would love to get to know your pets too. I am available for walks/play dates, short term sitting, or longer term. While visiting your pet while you are away I also pick up mail and water any plants that need care while you are away.
