Sitter in Nashville, Tennessee

I am a current student at Sewanee, double majoring in English and philosophy. This summer, I will be interning in Nashville with WPLN, Nashville Public Radio. The internship, however, is unpaid, so I was hoping I could find some loving families who could use some help with childcare on weekends and afternoons/evenings. I am a diligent worker who will pay careful attention to your child's needs and will be working May 15- June 26. One of the things I am very passionate about is education. I am interested in a broad variety of subjects, so the chances are, if your child has a particular interest, I share it. If your child needs help with homework, I would love to help. If you just want your child to learn or become more interested in learning, I can most definitely help! We live in a beautiful and amazing world, and I encourage curiosity and asking questions. I would love to read with your child, perform science experiments, or just talk with your child about things which he or she may be interested in. I am also able to cook small meals or provide light housecleaning. I am very comfortable with pets as well, and would not mind feeding, walking, or cleaning up after any furry members of the family! References are available on request, and if you are unsure if I am the right person for the job, I would be more than happy to discuss with you specifically what kinds of things you are looking for in a sitter and if I meet these requirements. I have experience watching children aging upwards of one year old, but I prefer to watch children who are at least three years old. I will have a car with me in Nashville, and would be able to provide transportation for myself to and from your house, as well as for your children if they need to go anywhere or if you would like me to take them on an outing sometime.
