My name is Melanie and I run a daycare in my home. I am not state certified right now but am looking into it. I am currently accepting full time and part time children from newborn to age 12. I have 4 children of my own, 3 of which are in school full day and one daughter that is 22 months old. I have been babysitting since I was 11 and love children. I did daycare in my Orem home and am now doing it in my home in Lehi. I have references upon request. I live close to the freeway and live in a quiet neighborhood with a park around the corner. I am CPR and first aid certified and have my food handlers permit. I offer a full curriculum that is posted weekly. I cover all skill areas such as pre-reading/writing, math/science/nature, physical development, gross motor skills, coordination, small motor, social, emotional, language arts, crafts, music, and cooking. My home has a very large shaded backyard. We go outside 3 times a day weather permitting. Inside we have a large sunny play room/ learning room. There we have our morning circle time where we learn our letter of the week, weather, calendar/counting, singing, games, and story time. It is my goal to give you and your child peace of mind while you are away from eachother. We work a lot on social skills and the kids enjoy a positive relationship with eachother. We also have family events including a cute Christmas program that the kids put on and an end of the summer party where all family is invited. I have a 15 passenger van so we go on field trips and have a great time together. Prices are reasonable. I will give a discount if you have more than one child that needs care. My hours are Monday thru Friday from 7am until 6pm but I am willing to do other hours if needed. I will also take kids to and from school within a certain distance for a little extra fee. I provide all learning and craft materials, meals, and snacks. Parents provide diapers and wipes. We do have 2 dogs that are very friendly but they are in their kennels while children are in care.
