Hello my name is Maxine Edie and hails from the beautiful island of Jamaica, from I was a child I have always loved babies, they are always so innocent, soft and vulnerable and I thought it was my duty to love care and protect them. so at the tender age of 13 I did my first paid babysitting job. I was so proud to be taking care of this little boy it was cloth diapers and of course I knew how to fold them and pin them on to the baby. as I grew and became a woman looking out and taking care of other people's children was something I did on a regular basis. I got married and had two beautiful girls of my own, I treated children whether they were mine or somebody else just as if they were the ones I birth. I was given an award at my church for two straight years as an all rounder mother. I thought and supervised children and young people at my church, planning programs and activities. I also was elected as president of my younger daughter's school P.T.A. It was a joy and a pleasure to take care of the babies feeding, changing, bathing and keeping them clean and comfortable. I also foster two teenagers, today my two oldest daughters are married and the other gave me a lovely grand daughter. my youngest resides with me. there are countless young men and women today who either call me Mom our aunty. I am certified in first aid CPR and AED for both Adults and children (0 months up). I am also a certified housekeeper and a good cook. I am in the process of embarking on a course in Advance childcare. NB. I don't drive.. I take the bus and I do a lot of walking with the kids.
