Sitter Job in Mountain View, California

I currently have an employment opportunity in my household that I would love to fill with a student studying Child Development. I'm the mother of a Los Altos School District 7th grader who is on the autism spectrum. We previously employed a student in De Anza's Childhood Development and Education program as after school help to work with him. It was a wonderful experience that we are hoping to replicate. Our previous student has left us after four years to finish her education at San Francisco State. Duties involve homework help, tutoring, driving him to social skills group and home again once a week and overseeing an ABA session that pushes into our home. The person in this position would be treated as part of our son's team. We would be open to their feedback and opinions. The student would also have access to therapists who don't mind fielding educational questions. (The times are 3pm - 6pm M-F) Philip, our son, is an intelligent, sweet, and funny boy who is prone to distraction and simply needs someone patient to keep him focused and on track.
