Have you been looking for a tutor for your kids that keeps them engaged and having fun while learning? My reason for this posting: I wish I had the opportunity to learn math and science from a fun and engaged mentor and feel had I had such influences, learning would not have been a drag. I feel I can make a difference and I am fortunate to have the time available to give. Succeeding in school takes a positive attitude and confidence. I want to share what I have learned and help facilitate these attributes. I am a good communicator, looking for an opportunity to help and have fun. I have a lot of patience, a great sense of humor, and am kind of goofy which goes over well with kids. I am currently attending school at Columbia Basin with the intention of learning all the “hard” subjects I was intimidated by as a kid. Returning to school at age 40 is not an easy venture, bringing back all the memories of how uncomfortable school can be; I was the girl who was too afraid to raise my hand and ask questions, left to feel like I was stupid when I didn’t understand a math problem. Now I am studying chemistry, calculus, and physics. I decided it was time to get over the fear of not knowing and will be applying to Chemical Engineering programs in the spring. I currently have a 3.89 GPA with an emphasis on math and science; I also attended the University of Washington where I focused on English and Art. Contact me at 206-919-...
