Title: Preschool Director of Early Education Program. Directly supervised by Regional Management Group. 2. Purpose: The Director’s role is to assure complete responsibility of the preschool faculty by maintaining order, purpose of mission, overall safety and security by making sure all school policies and government regulations are enforced. 3. Requirements: a. Must hold a BA degree or higher b. Have a children’s center site supervision permit, keep records and files on all staff and children in compliance with state licensing law. c. Posts proper documents as required by state licensing agencies, the fire department and labor laws. d. Must have no less than 3 years experience as a Preschool Director. e. Must have taught and been considered a fully qualified teacher for no less than 1 year, in a licensed childcare center. f. Must have completed 15 hours of health and safety training. g. Provide three (3) references to your character and ability to work with young children. h. TB and health screen clearance current (no more than 1 year old). i. Child abuse index and criminal background check 4. Needed skills and abilities: a. This position is considered administrative and requires knowledge, expertise, experience and ability to organize, teamwork, recruit families, develop programs, maintain order, implement curriculum, and support all components to maintain a successful preschool program. 5. The following skills and abilities are needed for this position as a Director: a. Administrative experience (at least 3 years) b. Ability to lead, train, and guide parents and staff in “In-Service-Training”. c. Excellent attitude toward children d. Good listening and communication skills e. Ability to manage time f. Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity to developmental delays and growth in children. g. Demonstrate a sound work ethic (promptness, consistent attendance, team player attitude). h.
