Hello!!!! I've just opened a Daycare with Preschool curriculum daily. I've read the book "Teaching Montessori in the Home, The Preschool Years" by, Elizabeth Hainstock. I'm using traditional Preschool methods and materials, as well as Montessori methods and materials. I'm taking all the necessary steps to obtain a Sherburne County Daycare License. I attended the 3 hour Daycare/Foster Care Orientation in April, I've completed CPR Training, First Aid Training, Child Car Passenger Safety Training, Sudden Unexpected Infant Death and Shaken Baby Safety Training. I've made all necessary updates and safety measures to my home as necessary. The Fire Marshal is due to complete an inspection within the next 7 weeks, then the Daycare Licenser will complete her inspection. I am hoping to enroll children ages two years and up. I will be open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Each child will be $27 per day. School age children on school days will be $15 per child per day, on Holidays when they are here for the full day they will be $27 per day. We live on 2-1/2 acres and a culdesac in a real quiet neighborhood. We love it here. I've converted my 1,200 square foot basement into the daycare. The Living Room is the Preschool, one of the large bedrooms is the Playroom, the other bedroom is the nap room. We eat very healthy, whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies, healthy proteins. Lots of the food we eat is organic. My children are Alana who is three and William who is one. We do not currently have any pets. If you value all these things please come out for a tour.
