Heather’s Haven In-Home Day Care for teacher's children is not a preschool, but I do offer a theme based preschool program. Children participate in a full range of activities such as free play, outside play, stories, dramatic play, creative arts, crafts, music, computer play (supervised for younger children) and much more.  As a family child care provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy learning environment for each child that will stimulate their physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth at their own pace. I offer loving care that focuses on each child as a unique and wonderful individual and in doing so, builds self-esteem and respect for others.  As far as experience goes I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. I have worn many “hats” as an educator in a licensed childcare facility for over 10 years. Some of these “hats” include Toddler Teacher, Preschool Teacher, Pre-k Teacher and Childcare Director. As your partner in caring for your child, my interaction with you, the parent,  is as important as my interaction with your child. I encourage parent involvement in the child care setting.  I also have a current Child Abuse Clearance, FBI clearance, and Criminal Background Clearance.
