Sitter in Oakville, Ontario

Hi! My name is Amanda, and I have been babysitting young children since the age of twelve, having completed my babysitting license. The youngest I have looked after was a 10 month-old, while oldest was an eleven year-old. Since then, I have loved working with kids throughout Oakville. I was a volunteer with the Children's Summer Reading Program at the Oakville Public Library, handing out prizes and leading and organizing games. I was also a camp counsellor with the Town of Oakville's Little Picasso camp last summer, planning fun activities such as scavenger hunts, games, and crafts. I volunteered for 6 months at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, often dealing with child patients. For the past two years, I have taught piano to four children, aged 7 to 11. I adore working with kids, and am outgoing and energetic. I currently attend the University of Toronto, pursuing a double major in English and Film. Last summer, I worked at SickKids Children's Hospital in Toronto as a research volunteer in the Physiological Research Unit, getting to play with the kids in the unit while they receive treatment. I also have my grade 10 piano, and grade 8 voice from the Royal Conservatory of Music, so I am fully qualified to teach children those instruments if that is of interest.
