Sitter in Saint Augustine, Florida

I am a recent graduate of Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Florida. I love kids of all ages and have been working with them for over ten years. Growing up, my parents both worked full-time, so I was responsible for caring for my two younger siblings, who were 8 and 11 years younger than me. The youngest, my sister Victoria, has Downs Syndrome, so I was responsible for all of her extra needs. I started babysitting outside my family when I was about twelve. I also have a lot of experience working in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and other volunteer childcare, including mentoring. I have worked in professional childcare and as a nanny for the past four-and-a-half years. Working with kids has always been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. I take every opportunity that presents itself to teach the children I care for about the world around them and how to interact with it and others, and to show them that I care about them. I also believe that children feed off of and respond to their environments, so I strive to maintain a fun and positive atmosphere and a joyful countenance.
