Hi! My name is Alyssa, and I just moved to Iowa City from Des Moines for school. I'm looking to take care of some kiddos while I get my education here! Here's a bit of my background with childcare: I started babysitting around eight years ago with family friends and families in my congregation at church. I also worked as my church's nursery attendant for multiple years. Two years ago, I accepted a job with Altoona Campus Kids Klub back home. Never did I think I would fall in love with a job like I did with that one. It was indeed hard to leave my kids last week as we closed out on our final days of summer. On any given day, I worked with a range of about 40 to 70 kids, some with situations such as ADHD, Autism, and Bipolar Disorder. I received over 20 hours of training on working with school aged kids, especially with those disorders. I also have certifications for First Aid, CPR, and Universal Precautions. I recently accepted a job with Camp Coralville, working with kids after school. I will be available after 5:45 on weeknights except on Wednesday nights, as I have class from 6:30 to 9:00. I also have football season tickets, otherwise I'm available on the weekends as well. I charge $5 per child per hour. Don't hesitate to contact me, I'd love to help you out!
