Hello, my name is Hannah, I'm 21, and starting my senior year at Mankato this fall majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Nonprofit leadership! I have a great deal of experience working with children of all ages! I starting babysitting at age 14 and have had several babysitting jobs throughout my high school years as well as a both part-time and full-time summer nanny positions. I have worked with families with 1 child up to 8 children, and ages of infant to pre-teen! Other experience I have is being a teacher's aid for 1st and 4th grade elementary classes my senior year of high school, Sunday school teacher, working at nursing home as an activity aide so I am experienced with planning and putting on activities. I also spent 5 months (Jan-June 2014) in Cape Town, South Africa studying abroad on a service-learning trip. I worked with youth in an impoverished, informal settlement doing crafts and activities with the young children and I started a Life Skills Program for 12-13 year old girls that teaches them about self-esteem, self-respect, respect towards others, violence and bullying, leadership, goal-setting, positive attitude, positive life choices, and problem solving strategies.
