I have been working with children for over 12 years, both as a teacher and as a nanny. I have worked with children from ages 3 weeks to 13 years, as well as with children that have Autism/Aspergers,Sensory Issues, Eating Disorders, and Behavior Issues.I also have spent many years immersed in the practice of creative writing, drama and music, and use these pursuits to impart knowledge and aid development. I love using nature based activities to teach children about the world and their place in it. I am well practiced at striking a balance between being a part of a family and keeping a professional demeanor. That being said, working with children is never JUST a job, I truly care for each child that I work with, and that can be seen in my references I have an AA degree in Integrated Studies with concentrations in Early Childhood Education and Family, Youth, and Child Studies.
