I got to the USA, from Brazil, in September 2005 as an Au Pair. I stayed with a family for 1 1/2 years, they have 2 boys. They were 2 years old and 1-month-old when I started. After that I also watched 2 boys, 2 years old and newborn when I started. I worked for a different family for 3 years and another one for 3 years. Adding to my experience, I am a mother of two little girls, 4 and 2 years old. My oldest was diagnosed with Autism about 1 1/2 years ago, and she has improved a lot in this period as well, she will also be entering kindergarten next fall.
