Sitter in Pasadena, California

Hello! I am a former first grade teacher, currently attending the USC School of Social Work, and I am looking for part-time babysitting jobs on Thursdays, evenings, and weekends to earn a little extra money. About me: -- CPR certified -- fluent in Spanish -- own my car and a have a clean driving record -- Former lifeguard and swimming instructor for children. -- Taught first and fourth grades. I have also substitute taught kindergarten through sixth grade. -- 2 years experience teaching high school English and Spanish in Pasadena. -- Experience with autism, cerebral palsy, and other developmental and learning difficulties. -- Ran private tutoring sessions in math and creative writing with children ages 6 to 18. - In the summers, I lead immersion programs for high school students and Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Peru. -- In the summers, I am a cabin counselor at a summer camp for youth in the Los Angeles foster care system, ages 6 to 10. -- Currently obtaining my Master' s degree in Social Work with a concentration on Mental Health and School Social Work. I love working with children and youth. Despite my schedule as a graduate student, I would love to find families who would appreciate a reliable, caring, and experienced babysitter/tutor who would devote herself to your children's well-being. In the past, I have developed close relationships with the children and families with whom I have worked. I have another year and a half in graduate school, and I would love to create meaningful and sustainable relationships with families in the area. References available upon request.
