Hello Hickory!. My name is Latoya and I am a 27 year old SAHM of 4(ages 6, 3, 2 and 6 months) who will be relocating to the area from NJ mid March/early April. Prior to staying home, I was a pre school teacher for 5 years, and am also experienced with caring for special needs children, infants and school aged children. I also have quite a bit of home based childcare experience here in NJ. I am looking to help out a family or two with full time or part time enrichment child care in my home. I have an insane amount of age appropriate educational resources, books, crafts, supplies, toys, enough to keep an entire neighborhood of kids busy for weeks! I do lots of hands on, exciting and messy play as I am a firm believer that playing is learning. Im not positive exactly where in Hickory we will be settling in, but I did want to see if there were any families in need of childcare who would be interested and/or would like to talk further and potentially make arrangements in advance. Being that I'm still in NJ at the moment I would be more than willing to talk/interview via skype or whatever you may use for video chat so that you can see that I am a real human being, with real kids! :-P I can also provide references and a background check if required. My rate, very very VERY affordable. I understand budgets completely, which, other than missing and wanting to get back to my roots of teaching, is why I am offering my services, so that I can be of supplemental income along side my husband's. I also think it would be a great opportunity for my little ones to get to know and meet some new friends for the summer.
