Hello, My name is Terris and I'm 24 years old. I attended Prince George's community college and majored in Psychology. I am also first aid and cpr certified. I am the third oldest of 6 siblings and I have been babysitting since my younger brothers were babies and my mother's friends children as well. I always had a passion for working with children, and I hope to one day start my career as a counselor for the younger generation. I love to keep myself active and always willing to try new things to enhance my career and life. I have experience with children of all ages from newborns to teenagers based on the families who I have met through my mother, which helped me gain skills and learn how to take care of each individual. I've also experienced volunteering at 2 senior homes for the past few years as well as receiving my 45hr. certificate for Child Growth and Development. From experience I've been a very reliable person to count on and I'm always up to learn new things. I'm a fast and responsible worker and I make sure everything goes according to the plan. I also love to have fun especially with children because they keep me active and that benefits me. I was a babysitter for a Company/agency , which I've been working through since November of 2018 until the pandemic hit and in September (2019) I’ve worked with a family through another babysitting site for over a month where I’ve watched their infant while either both parents or one would be at home getting work done or i was left alone to watch the infant. I am currently a live in nanny to 2 beautiful and amazing girls (age 9 and 3) and I’ve been working here since November 2020. Unfortunately they suffered a lost which affected my income but i was able to stay because I was dealing with a personal family situation before being employed and I wanted to also still help out being as though my employer is a single mom. I created a bond with this current family but I have to step away because of specific reasons. After moving out, I started working right away , although it was for a short period of time due to be being extremely sick after finding out about my pregnancy, I truly enjoyed my time getting to be a babysitter again! I look forward to speaking and working with new beautiful and loving families in the future If considered.
