Hi, there!! My name’s Melissa, I'm a funloving, nurturing person who can't wait to meet you and your kdis!! I love children and am seeking employment as a nanny/aupair so that I can apply myself wholeheartedly to enriching the lives of the family I will work for. I have extensive experience with children, among which I have been a nanny for the last couple of years in various homes with children from newborns to 12 years old. I spent a great deal of time coordinating the childcare program at a lodge and was involved in a cooperative education program in a kindergarten classroom. I have also taken several courses to further my understanding of the care and development of children. I'm studying to become a kindergarten teacher and was recently accepted in Althouse teacher's college for primary teaching and offered a selective placement in a focus group specializing in curriculum development for jk-gr.6. Through these experiences I have learned a great deal such as how to encourage learning in children of all ages to flourish as individuals. I love to play. Imagination is a cornerstone to success in the classroom and at home, as such I do my very best to encourage creative thinking in children. I love arts and crafts, board games, and outdoor activities of all kinds. My bachelor's degree is in creative writing. I love story telling and often make up my own fairytales!! I come from a large family, with many siblings as well as pets so I know how chaotic a full house can be, but I love every minute of it.
