I have been babysitting for several years now. In high school, I took a year long child development course: the first semester I learned about child disorders, age appropriate games, and crafts. The second semester I taught approximately 20 preschool aged children math, science, reading, hand writing, cutting, and physical education. I tutored students in math for 2 years and saw improvements. This past year I was actively involved in Campus PALS where I displayed leadership, guidance, and friendship to an 8 year-old girl through weekly 2-hour sessions. I accumulated, analyzed, and customized creative age-appropriate crafts and other activities to foster imagination and positive learning. I am also an active church member where I provide and maintain confidentially while modifying individual counseling discussions to adapt to different adolescent attitudes and needs between ages 5 and 23. I persuade each individual adolescent to follow through with an adapted outline of self-help tips in order to help them overcome their difficulties.
