My name is Trish and I have decided to make myself available for the right situation. I have been caring for children most of my adult life :) I have taken the Oregon childcare courses (through the USDA in home daycare support program-incl infant/child development and USDA nutritional food program). I ran my own in home childcare for over 10 yrs while my own children were small, with between 5-10 children and infants in my home at any one time. I am mommy to 4 kids of my own (10, 15, 18 and 20). My husband and I did foster care through the state of OR for a couple years with 9 children through our home. I operated my own cleaning service for 5 years (until my pregnant tummy was too big to reach across the counter top!). My husband and I are all done having children of our own so I like to get my baby fix when our church's Children Pastors need us to take 1-4 of their Littles while they are away at conventions, retreats and kids camps. We volunteer in the nursery for our church on Sunday mornings as well. I love babies! I am CPR and First Aid cert and have had numerous background checks for work and all the volunteering I do. I have my food handlers card. I have had a few classes on infant and child development and enjoy spending time with children. Self esteem and responsibility are import to me and I like helping children to learn these. For the last almost 3 years I was employed with Lifeworks in Longview where I cared for developmentally disabled adults in their home. I left the position where I was gone most nights and weekends. I would rather have hours that will allow me to be home more with my own family. Through Lifeworks I have had loads of training and certifications.
