Are you looking for a positive, nurturing, and experienced care giver to look after your young children in a developmentally stimulating home daycare? My name is Aimee and I have a passion for teaching and learning. I also truly appreciate the natural curiosity that babies and young children exhibit on a daily basis. For the past decade, I have worked as an educator for WCPSS as a classroom teacher and a math/reading intervention teacher. I have a graduate degree in elementary education and am reading certified. Before this, I worked with special needs children. Specifically, I worked with children with developmental and behavioral disorders. I live in Apex and love going to the greenways, playgrounds, and hiking trails in Wake County. I also enjoy spending time at the various science and book stores. Teaching others and helping them learn is both a joy and passion of mine. I also look forward to developing enriching friendships for my children and the children I serve in my home daycare. I have a variety of toys that are suitable for all developmental stages. I feel most confident watching children from newborn to age five. The older the child, the more academic activities I can plan and provide for. Barnes and Nobles, our local library, and learning stores are all places we can visit, especially during extremely hot summer days. I am registered to be CPR trained by the end of July. I am also able to send text and photo updates each day your child is with me along with a written log of your child's day (naps, potty training, eating/drinking, activities/outings, and other personalized observations). My goal is for your family to feel confident and comfortable with my ability to provide a nurturing, stable, and fun home daycare experience for your child.
