My name is AJ and I run a fun and safe licensed day home in Strathmore. I have space for a child under the age of 2 and 2 spaces for children over 3 years to come and play with my 2 year old daughter and 6 year old son. I have over 4 years experience, with a police background check and child intervention check. I have full infant and child first aid and my level 1 child care certificate. An agency consultant visits once a month and a full safety work up on my home is done every 3 months. I have a bachelors degree in fine arts and enjoy doing arts and crafts with the children. I'm also a member of the board of directors at the Strathmore public library, we always have new reading materials and participate in story time and other activities offered at the library whenever possible. My home is a safe, fun and clean environment for children to be creative in and enjoy themselves during the day. My house has many spaces dedicated to different kinds of play, craft spaces and reading corners are upstairs along with a small amount of toys for all ages. My basement is totally dedicated to play with toys and activities to suit a child's ever changing interests. Each child has their own nap space with bedding washed weekly, for the ones who need a sleep during the day. I have a large backyard with a play structure and small sandbox and lots of outside toys. When the weather is good we can play in the kiddie pool and sprinkler. My home is within walking distance of 2 parks and kinsmen park which has a nice playground and water park.
