Sitter Job in Maspeth, New York

We are now looking to hire a fun & creative daycare assistant to join our staff. This is a new daycare with tons of room to grow. There are various positions open for full-time and part-time. Listed below is what we are looking for in the ideal person: * Be mature and able to manage / assist in managing program * Reliable & Dependable * Be professional * Be patient and loving * Able to relate to students and families in a courteous, respectful, and friendly manner * Be positive and self-motivated * Have leadership skills to supervise and direct group of children * Fun & Creative * Must be able to multi-task * Be organized and very tidy * Clean & Sterilize Day Care Area & Toys Must meet all requirements: * High School Diploma / college credits and two years experience (age 24 preferred) * Have childcare experience. At a minimum either (1) 2 years of paid or unpaid experience caring for children under 6 years of age (including your own) OR (2)1 year of paid or unpaid experience caring for children under 6 years of age and 6 hours of training or an education in early childhood development. * Sign-off of Caregiver Medical Statement by a health care provider (physician, physician's assistant, nurse practitioner) including Tuberculin Test * Be cleared through background checks required by OCFS. These background checks include State Central Register for Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR) clearance ($25 fee), criminal history review, including fingerprinting (free) * Provide names and contact information for three references * MUST have Certifications on the following: Health & Safety AND First Aid & CPR - Require certificate of completion * Have driver's license and car a plus HOURS Full or Part-Time 8 AM - 6 PM 7 AM - 1 PM 1 PM - 7 PM Compensation: Daycare staff - varies depending on experience and qualification (benefits include sick days, vacation and major holidays).
