Childcare provider, Amanda Ruggiero., is seeking full-time employment with 9 years of experience working with children and families. She has experience with children ages 6 weeks to 13 years old. She has four years of experience working in an Early Learning Center as an infant and toddler teacher. Responsibilities including; creating and implementing age appropriate curriculum & experiences and getting children on daily routines for feeding/napping. Amanda has spent the past 5 years working in homes as a nanny. She has experience working with twins and families with multiple children as well as caring for infants as young as 8 weeks old. Responsibilities as a nanny including; potty training, teaching colors/letters/numbers/reading, making homemade baby food, involving children in crafts and other activities, going to the park and much more. She is also willing to help out with light housework and errands such as; meal preparation, picking up dry cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. Amanda is a recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. This area of study exposed her to coursework in Child Development, Early Childhood Education Curriculum & Programming, Family Interactions and Parenthood & Parenting. This coursework has allowed her to become a more knowledgeable childcare provider with an understanding of the stages of physical/emotional/moral development of the child, how to appropriately address problem behaviors and how to effectively encourage learning in children of all ages. She is currently seeking work to start as soon as possible.
