My name is Kelly Hamilton. I am pleased to say that I will be taking over as the new owner (and teacher) of Play2Learn daycare on August 6, 2018 for current families and will begin with new families on Wednesday, August 22nd! Natalie, has really built an incredible foundation that I will continue to mirror and keep her philosophy alive. To quote her: “If you are looking for a safe and loving environment where your little one(s) can be active, curious, creative and social, but you want MORE THAN A DAYCARE, look no further.” I am so thrilled you are considering Play2Learn as your child’s daycare! I have such a love for children and their growth and development! I like to engage their minds and join in their fun, as well as stand back and see where their curiosity and interests lead them! Play2Learn aspires to engage your child in fun, developmentally appropriate education. This mission is based on Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards in all Essential Domains of School Readiness (Birth to Age 5): -Social and Emotional Development, -Physical Well-Being and Motor Development -Approaches Towards Learning -Language and Literacy Development, and -Cognition and General Knowledge About me: I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. I have a lot of experience working with infants to adults, both in a typical classroom as well as classrooms of students with special needs. For the past 9 years, I have been associate teacher at Monarch Center for Autism, working with students of all ages. My favorite age is the early childhood age (birth to 5), which is what makes me so excited for this career change. I look forward to using my experience and knowledge of motor development, sensory engagement and creative play to help build your child’s confidence and curiosity. I am First Aid and CPR certified – August 2017 My years of experience particularly involving young children involve: -Monarch Center for Autism pre-k and kindergarten rooms (age: young 3-7) -Babysitting -Mother of a 3-year-old -Pre-K teacher assistant -Resource teacher for children k-3 -Camp counselor and pre-k teacher assistant for Achievement Centers for Children Something to share: My daughter, Riley, has been attending Play2Learn with Natalie since August 2016 when she had just turned 2 and my nephew has been attending since 2014, age 1. I have been so happy with the level of care and education Riley has received here and I know my brother and sister-in-law feel the same way. It has been like a second home to her and Natalie has been like family! Needless to say, Play2Learn has already been a special place in my heart and I want nothing more than to carry on the incredible legacy that has been built here.
