My name is Melissa and I have worked for Chesterbrook Academy Preschool/Elementary School for the last 18 years (start date November 1999). Only two of these years were spent behind a desk as an Administrative Assistant, while the other sixteen were spent working directly with children in a classroom setting as an Assistant Teacher as well as well as outside of classroom as a Lead Summer Camp Counselor. I have mainly worked with children one to six years old but have personal experience with older children (I am mother of a college student). I believe in treating children with love, kindness, and compassion and creating a safe and comfortable environment in which they can grow and thrive. I have current clearances/background checks as well as many personal and professional references available immediately upon request. Also, I am comfortable working with children with learning and/or physical disabilities, have reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.
