Hello, my name is Marcus Kehn! I'm 19 and I work full time as Web Support for Synergy Medical Inc. I'm a 1099 contractor for my employer, and I really want to follow my passion. Here's a brief history on me, because you need that from a care taker: At the age of three years old I was diagnosed with what was termed as "Super ADHD" I have been on medications ever since. I was enrolled into the gifted program at Hazelwood School District in 2nd grade. I struggled to do well in classes due to my ADHD. I have two cousins with Autism, and I visit them several times a week, not to mention babysit. I'm very, very experienced at handling ocd behaviors, melt downs, and hyper kids. I was raised in a Christian house hold and attend church twice a week, and am Involved in the St. Louis area campus ministry for Church of Christ. I've done a lot of volunteer work, I was a team leader in Joplin after the tornado, I also was a team leader at the Norman, OK tornado in March of 2013. Recently I gathered 45 students and found funding, and housing to go to the flood in Greeley Colorado in September 2013. We helped locals with anything from rebuilding or demolishing houses to clearing mud and flood water out of basements. I have extremely high values. I was taught from a young age to talk my feelings out instead of getting mad. In my free time I work on my Survival Gear store, and I play xbox, longboard, and wear my Crimson Tide gear proudly. I'm not here to just baby sit your kid, or nanny or be a tutor. I'm here to help them grow in all aspects. Most children who are gifted or shows signs of austic behaviours or adhd have one or several things they are exceptional at. I plan to use their abilities to help develop them into a positive, forward thinking person. When you have these abilities, sometimes you just want somebody to listen, engage and care about what they are thinking and feeling. Modern Society is so stuck on the idea that kids with Autism or adhd are bad, and have a low outlook. I've found that if they are taught and mentored right, they can be the most successful people. Einstein was autistic. Don't give up hope! I'm looking from anything to an hour or two a week, or full-time care. This is my passion and dream, eventually I want to open my own "Haven" for kids with said disorders. A place that helps them learn, grow and succeed on an individual level and is a place they feel at home and are comforted.
