Brooklyn Munchkin Cooperative Homeschool (BMC) The BMC is a play-centered homeschool incorporating an inquiry-based curriculum founded in the philosophy of Regio Emelia and Montessori. The year long curriculum ties together science, history, writing, math, social skills, and plenty more. There are openings in our cooperative homeschool starting this summer and fall. This unique school is family run and located at the families' individual homes. The school consists of 5 children per day. Our teacher: Ms. Afryea Deas A Seasoned Teacher with over 20 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field gives the children an intimate, nurturing, education filled program. Parent Involvement: Attend monthly meetings Teach one class of your choice to the children 1 day a week Be involved in decision making for school policies and programing Chaperone field trips when possible School Year Program: Sessions are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. BMC runs on a 10-month program with a Summer Program from July to the 3rd week in August. Available Time Slots: There is a 2, 3 or 5-day schedule which is available.
