I am in the process of opening my own in home daycare. After having a hard time finding anyone who could care for my 12-month old son as well as I would like for them too over this last year I have decided to become a stay at home mom. I would like to offer others the peace of mind that comes with having a daycare provider that isn't just watching their kids but is caring for them like they were my own. I have always had a passion for children since I was really young but never pursued a career in childcare until now. Now that I have one of my own I have decided to exit the workforce and raise my son properly just like my mom did for me and my brothers when we were young. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have completed all of the classes required by the state of Kansas to be licensed. I just received my in home occupation license and am awaiting my temporary license to arrive in the mail(expected in the next 5 days). I have worked as a CNA for the last 3 yrs and as a cosmetologist for the 6 yrs before that. Prior to entering cosmetology school I took classes in developmental childcare at Johnson County Community College. My goal is to provide an environment where children will be loved and nurtured. I have developed a curriculum for children of all ages that will stimulate development and help them to grow up smart,healthy and strong(this won't be a plop them in front of the tv styled daycare. I will be accepting children between the ages of 0-6 yrs at this time..... hours are 6am-6pm mon-fri and I have full-time and part-time hr available. weekend and evening hr are negotiable if you have a need there.
