Hello, My name is Destiny. I am a devoted and reliable Nanny with 4 years in childcare. I will supply loving care while making sure to meet disciplinary and educational goals for each child. I offer children clear guidelines that promote positive behavior patterns. I am very family-oriented, emotionally supportive, reliable. I have good communication skills. I am a complex problem solver and outgoing and friendly. I may only have 4 years of experience, but those 4 years have been amazing. Children have always been my passion. As long as I can remember, I have always loved holding babies, pushing toddlers on the swing, and encouraging school-age children while helping them with homework even when some were my own age. My journey as a nanny began when I started babysitting for friends of my dad's. They would tell their friends who would tell their friends, and so on. By the end of my junior year, I was completely booked for the summer. After I graduated from high school, I moved back to Texas to live with my mom. Her friend was in desperate need of a live-in nanny. He was an over the road truck driver and his kids were getting out of school for the summer. His mom had been watching them during the evening hours, but she was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer take on that load. I immediately agreed and accepted the position. He has twin 8 year old girls. I would make sure they were up in the morning, had 3 meals a day, and a snack. I made sure they were bathed everyday before bed, and would put them to sleep. During the day we had several fun activities that we did. We made rock candy, slime, played with play-doh, and different art projects. I also took them to the park and to the splash pad. I also incorporated learning activities into their day. I would print off core subject worksheets, and we would spend a little bit of our time doing those. Keeping their brains fresh for next school year. His kids are now in school and they will be staying with their mom during the evening.
