Hello, I started my career in babysitting children in my neighborhood at age 14 until I graduated high school. I held my first full-time nanny position at age 19 for a 6-week-old baby boy. I was pretty much there for his every waking moment until he was 2 and 1/2 years old. The last full-time nanny position I held full time was for 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl, for over 4 years. I have learned over the years how to nurture and manage children from infancy to high school. I educate and tutor them, do light cooking, and do light cleaning, all in a dependable, safe, and responsible environment. I also learned how to have fun and foster a positive attitude through recognition and praise for appropriate behavior, while redirecting children from negative behavior. I enjoy stimulating a child's mind through creative play, hands-on activities, and sometimes, organized chaos. I help their bodies to grow and flourish by scheduling age appropriate activities in a learning environment, such as catching minnows in a stream at the local park or playing at interactive playgrounds. My only shortcoming is that I cannot run due to horseback related knee injury.
