Hi my name is Sofia Elizondo. I recently just graduated high school in Arizona and moved to New York not too long ago. The past year, I worked at a preschool. While working, my duties were to set up lunch, lay the children down for nap time, feed them snack, keep them occupied and on task, and just to have fun with them. Due to working there I met many parents for whom I babysat for. I also nannied in the mornings 6-8 a.m. Monday - Friday in which i woke the kids up, got them dressed, fed them breakfast and took them to school. A skill that I have learned over time is to put my foot down when a child is not behaving. I am kind, silly, and young at heart although I can get serious when a child is doing something they are not supposed to be doing, especially if they are doing something that puts them in danger. I love spending time with children, playing games, doing arts and crafts, reading a book, and also taking them out for a treat once in a while and taking them to the park when they just have too much energy for indoors!
