Hello, my name is Raquel. I am 17 years old and I adore children. I am experienced with kids. I had taken care of my little cousins (6-7 years old). I was also part of a performing arts program which led me to work with kids. During the program, we had to create workshops on teaching kids sensitive topics (ableism, immigration, sexism, etc). I was thoroughly taught how to have fun and play with kids. I was also taught some first aid measures as well as emotional issues. What I mean by that is if a child was sad or angry, I was taught to sit down with them and ask them to explain their feelings to fix the issue. This job gave me experience with kids ages 4-15. But I have also taken care of little babies before. I have cared for infants as young as 6 months for some distant relatives. Kids are just a joy to me. I always found working with kids rewarding. Just being around them made me smile. So, I believe I would make a good candidate for a babysitting job. I do have some information and requirements. I have school Monday-Friday and it ends at 2:30. I can start work right after. I am flexible about hours, but we would have to work out a schedule depending on where you live and how far the job is from my school. If it is a school night, I would have to leave by 10:00 pm. On Fridays and weekends, I can stay as late as 12:00 am if need be. I understand that I am still a minor.
