My name is Jo and I am a married mother of two grown daughters. As a child care provider I take great pride in my work as it is also my joy. I have been running my own home daycare and preschool for over 20 years. I have a large dedicated childcare space within my home and a large, fenced-in outdoor play area. Not only do I have a license in elementary teaching, but I also have my Master's in Education. Preparing children for school involves more than simply teaching the ABCs and 123s. I provide opportunities to develop motor skills, emotional skills, social skills, and many other skill sets needed for success in kindergarten and beyond. I engage the children in a variety of activities to assist age appropriate development and language acquisition at an earlier age. Courtesy and respect for others are values in which I believe and teach to the children. I strive for excellence in preschool and home daycare, and my goals in childcare are to help each child develop positive self-concepts and healthy functioning consciences to aid them in becoming responsible, caring, and creative adults.
