Hello! I am a part-time social science researcher who has a passion for working with children. My focus in the past several years has been finding experience in a variety of childcare realms, including: nannying for individual families, volunteering with at-risk youth shelters, working in childcare centers, teaching in after-school programs, and serving as an on-call babysitter. Each of these roles challenged and compelled me to create meaningful relationships with the kids and families that I served. I performed a broad array of tasks, such as: cooking, cleaning, caring for pets, creating engaging and educational lessons based on arts and languages, transporting to activities and school, disciplining as was necessary, and most importantly playing! I take pride in balancing priorities like safety and health with fun by designing age-appropriate activities and outings that help "my" kids to learn while having a blast. As I truly believe that children are my generation's way to invest in a happy and healthy future, I cannot imagine a more valuable profession. I take my work very seriously, recognizing the full responsibility and potential that is intrinsic to childcare. I love what I do, and I hope that I can be a positive contribution to you family!
