After 7 years of impeccable services, we are saying goodbye to our wonderful nanny. We would take her with us if we could, but we are moving just too far way. If you are looking for childcare with a warm, loving, honest, intelligent, and professional woman, then my husband and I can recommend Vernesta Dovil wholeheartedly. Vern (as she is known by her friends) is a part of our family now. Our kids call her “Auntie” and just adore her, as do we. And she loves them as well. We have always been impressed not only with how lovingly she takes care of our children, but also in her methods. She teaches them, reads to them, plays with them, she is gentle in her discipline, but also incredibly effective. Our children are both very polite and sweet and really well behaved, and we truly give Vern most of the credit for that. Vern has been working as a professional nanny since 1999. She has helped us raise both our children since they were infants, helping me with my son from the day I brought him home from the hospital. We can vouch for her experience with children from infancy to 7 as exceptional, having employed her for as long. Prior to her employment with our family in 2007, Vern worked for several other families, providing care for 6 other children. It important that anyone considering Vern as a nanny to their children know that even after her long days and weeks working for us, she still finds time to volunteer in her community. She is a member and active volunteer for New York Cares as well as other local volunteer groups and even single handedly set up a youth literary program within her community. Vern is CPR certified, having renewed her certification every year. I can’t say enough good things about her. I trust her without exception and can’t recommend her enough.
