Hi, my name is Kate-Lynn . Ever since my first brother was born I have loved teaching him new things. When my family was complete with two younger brothers, I couldn't stop teaching them what I knew, such as how to ride a bike, sing the alphabet and read. One of my brothers has ADHD but that never stopped me, it only made me work harder. Now that I am done high school, I have been taking some child development, and interpersonal communications classes and have also gotten on the wait list for the Early Childhood Education Diploma at Camosun College. I have always wanted to teach children, always. In my last year of High School, I volunteered at a local Elementary school as a teacher's assistant in a kindergarden classroom. I loved it so much and learned a lot from my time there. In my first year of College I started volunteering at the North Douglas Pre School, and have now become a teacher in their summer program. I loved pre school more than I ever thought I would! I have learned so much about children. How their age determines how they interact with one another and how to get them active within the small community of their pre school. I love interacting one on one with children, but I also really enjoy group activities and am always up for a new adventure outside! My hobbies including, hiking, kayaking, painting, reading and spending time with family. I am a very reliable, responsible and a hard working individual.
