My name is Tammy, and I am a registered nurse of 15 years, with Pediatric Care experience. I am also a Christian mom to 5 children, 2 of them are blind. My youngest daughter is 5 and has other special needs as well, is nonverbal and is fed through a feeding tube. She is in a wheel chair although she is learning to walk with a walker. I am looking to start a home day care this summer for special needs children. I am comfortable with all kinds of special/medical needs. I'm not sure what my hours will be yet, but am thinking days (8-5ish) for a few days a week, but then also being available in the evenings all week for parents who need care after school (if your kids go to a special needs school that is year round) or just need a night out. I know how hard it is to find a childcare provider who is comfortable with different medical needs.
