I love spending time with children. I am finishing up my first year in nursing school and am very concerned about providing quality care. I have had experience in a number of care settings, including an internship at Advocate Condell Medical Center my senior year in high school, working for a short period of time as a Medical Assistant in a surgical dermatology office, and babysitting for various families with various numbers of children throughout my high school years. Most recently, I worked as a nanny for a family with one young boy over a period of about one year. I started watching him when he was two months old and am very comfortable with infants. Besides caring for their son, I also assisted with housework as there was need. I am happy to help out with meals, laundry, errands and any other household needs you may have. Though I worked with an infant most recently, I have cared for children between the ages of 2 months and 13 years. As far as health safety goes, I am CPR certified (including infant CPR) and am continuing to learn more about health safety as I progress through my nursing program. I am the oldest of four children in my own family and have always felt a sense of responsibility and care for those around me, which is part of the reason I chose to pursue nursing as a career in the first place. As someone who experienced a wide range of babysitters growing up, I know the importance of finding the right one that will fit with your family. I also know that summer is a time when children want to have some fun and I am more than willing to do my best to accommodate. I find the greatest joy in life when I am helping to bring joy to others.
