I have ran a small successful in-home daycare in Anchorage for the past 5 years for local families. I have watched kids since I was 12 years old. I was a nanny for 4 years and also owned my own nanny business out East, which was very successful. I have three children of my own with only one left and have home school all of them. I believe a child should be raised by their parents and if both parents have to work then the next best thing is for that child to be taken care of in an in-home daycare situation. I believe an infant has needs and the only way their needs are known is through crying. I am an expert in infant/toddler cues. My parents have named me the "Baby Whisper" as I can easily get them to sleep. I believe in positive reinforcement, routine, and I devote myself entirely to the children while they are in your home. Safety is paramount to in my home. I also teach sign language to infants/toddlers and by doing so lessen the frustration in communicating. My children have always been able to communicate since babies, thus eliminating the "terrible twos". I believe that an infant cannot get spoiled. They need all the love and attention that they can get (meaning plenty of holding and cuddling), which makes them a self-confident child. We do not smoke or drink. Our language is very clean and we have very high standards in our home. You can feel very confident that your child will get the best care. My families become part of our family and stay with us for years, thus eliminating separation anxiety and become very confident in themselves. I only have Two slot left.
